POSITION OVERVIEW
The Online Marketing Officer is responsible for developing creative and engaging marketing content that supports the University’s branding, promotional, and communication objectives. The role focuses on designing high-quality marketing materials, producing digital and print content, creating multimedia resources, and ensuring consistent brand presentation across all communication channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation
- Develop engaging content for the university's marketing initiatives across digital and print platforms.
- Prepare newsletters, reports, corporate profiles, brochures, and other promotional publications.
- Assist in writing and editing marketing copy for advertisements, social media, websites, and promotional campaigns.
Graphic Design
- Design high-quality marketing materials including brochures, flyers, posters, banners, pull-up banners, invitations, certificates, and other promotional materials.
- Create visually appealing graphics for digital platforms, websites, presentations, and social media.
- Ensure all designs comply with the organization's branding guidelines and visual identity.
Video Production and Multimedia
- Produce, edit, and enhance promotional videos, interviews, event highlights, and other multimedia content.
- Create motion graphics, animations, and visual presentations where required.
- Capture photographs and videos during institutional events and activities for promotional purposes
Branding and Marketing Materials
- Develop branding materials that promote the university's image and identity.
- Assist in maintaining consistency of branding across all printed and digital communication materials.
Marketing Support
- Support the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns by providing creative design and multimedia content.
- Work closely with departments to develop promotional materials for academic programs, events, conferences, and corporate activities.
- Maintain an organised library of marketing and branding resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in graphic design, multimedia production, marketing communications, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing graphic design, branding, and multimedia projects.
Technical Skills
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Canva
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects (desirable)
- Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge and Competencies
- Strong graphic design and visual communication skills.
- Excellent creativity with a keen eye for layout, typography, and branding.
