Purpose
We are seeking a motivated Production Geologist to join our team, reporting to the Senior Production Geologist.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide effective grade control of the underground mine
- Perform sampling and mapping of underground headings and associated reporting
- Liaise with Engineering and Mining Departments to optimize grade control and operational efficiency
- Provide information for daily, weekly and monthly reporting
- Perform interpretation and modeling of lithology and mineralogy
- Design and manage delineation drilling programs
- Interpret geological data and model deposits
- Log diamond drill core as required
Education and Experience:
- 4-year B.Sc. degree in Geology, or equivalent 2 - 5 years of relevant experience preferred
- Geo, or working towards designation
- Knowledge of Deswik and Acquire software’s is an asset
- Strong analytical and organization skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening, presentation)
- Ability to frequently lift, carry and push 55 lbs
- Ability to frequently reach below and at-shoulder level
- Strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner
- Experience working in a culturally diverse environment
Working Conditions:
The schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day.
Compensation:
• The salary range for this position is CAD $105,000 - $117,500 per year, depending on skills, experience, and
qualifications.
• This role is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual short term incentive program. The target annual bonus
for this position is 10% of base salary, subject to individual and company performance.
• The Company offers a Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP), including an automatic 5% employer
contribution, with the option for employees to receive up to an additional 4% employer match on employee
contributions.
