Safety Manager | Rahway, NJ

Responsibilities

The Safety Manager in Rahway, NJ supports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhance a culture of safety.

• Provide daily field safety oversight
• Conduct safety audits and inspections
• Review and manage permits for:
  • Hot Work
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Fall Protection
  • Scaffolding
• Participate in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
• Attend weekly toolbox talks with the general contractor
• Support commissioning activities
• Ensure OSHA and site safety compliance

Qualifications

• OSHA 510 required
• Pharmaceutical construction highly preferred
• Commissioning experience required
• Experience with lab renovations or hazmat projects preferred
• Previous experience at a major pharmaceutical facility preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with contractors
