Mark Twain Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time School-Based Therapist for our Kirksville, Missouri service area - Macon County.ย  This full-time salaried position offers competitive pay and full benefits.ย Consider joining our MTBH Team!ย  We offer a supportive culture of appreciation and a strong emphasis on the health and well-being of our team.




Role Responsibilities


  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to youth and their families in a school-based setting - therapy may consist of crisis screening and brief solution-focused psychotherapy
  • Maintain clinical record according to certification standards
  • Provide consultation and education services to local schools and resource officers
  • Participate in clinical supervision, clinical case staff meetings, in-service training, and school-based meetings as requested
  • Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with local schools
  • Participate in student-of-concern meetings and with the Behavioral Health Risk Assessment Teams in your district
  • Complete daily schedule and check alerts in CareLogic in timely manner
  • Participate in quality improvement reviews as requested
  • Maintain a professional code of ethics at all times


    Adherence to the MTBH Ethical Code of Conduct and all policies is required.


    Qualifications


    • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology
    • Licensed in the state of Missouri or licensed-eligible
    • Knowledge of alcohol and drug addictions in adolescent population preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience preferred
