About this role

‎ 

  • The SDET is skilled in implementing test automation frameworks and strategies, with experience in programming languages, distributed system design principles, and various testing techniques and tools.
  • The SDET is responsible for ensuring software quality and staying updated on technology trends to improve the organization's software solutions and overall technical strategy.
  • The SDET understands our automated test solutions and the underlying technologies that power them. They can independently resolve issues and are proactive in addressing technical debt to ensure that our automated test solutions are stable and performant within the software team.

Technical Skills and Requirements

  • Strongly skilled in database principles and at scripting SQL queries
  • Strongly skilled with test tools (e.g., Azure DevOps pipeline and test plans, xUnit, nUnit, Jmeter, Jasmine, Mocha, MOQ, TestComplete, SoapUI, and Selenium)
  • Highly skilled in test design and test automation focusing on functional, security, performance, mobile, load and infrastructure/ workstation testing.
  • Highly skilled in software testing best practices Strongly skilled in code coverage tools
  • Expertise in organizationally accepted programming, scripting, and markup languages and frameworks (e.g., C#, .NET, .NET Core, Java, Swift, Kotlin,JavaScript, TypeScript T-SQL, HTML, XML, CSS, ASP .NET, Angular, ReactJS, Python)
  • High degree of expertise in the usage of tools used for software development (e.g., Visual Studio,  Chrome Developer Tools, SQL Server Management Studio))
  • Knowledge of the principles and patterns of system design (e.g., MVC, CQRS)
  • Skilled in object oriented design Skilled in object relational mapping (ORM)
  • Highly skilled   in testing patterns (e.g., inversion of control, dependency injection)
  • Skilled in the development of web services (e.g., SOAP and REST)
  • Skilled in the use of code repository tools such as SVN and GitHub  
  • Strongly skilled in the use of continuous integration, continuous delivery and source code management
  • For developers in specialized areas, high degree of skill in additional technologies,toolsets, or frameworks may be used (e.g., PeopleTools, XCode, rules engine testing framework, PeopleSoft testing framework)
  • Understanding of secure coding techniques and best practices
  • Skilled in software analysis, design, and problem resolution
  • Understanding of web application architecture
  • Strong understanding of the software development process
  • Proven understanding of organizationally accepted technology standards understanding of software development in a multi-platform environment such as Mac, Linux, and Windows
  • Understanding of hardware, storage, networking and other infrastructure and data components as it relates to software development
  • High degree of understanding of organizationally approved project management methodologies (e.g. Agile/Scrum, Waterfall)
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms and their application to the organization
  • Knowledge in full-stack development.
  • Highly skilled in DevOps methodologies (e.g., automation, continuous feedback, quality signal)

  • Must be able to communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of audiences such as other software developers, engineers, architects, business analysts, software testers, management, and business stakeholders
