About the role
Keka's Outbound Events Team runs HR Katalyst and the Keka Round Table — two of India's most closely watched HR community events. Getting senior HR leaders into those rooms is the job.
As an SDR Intern, you are the first voice a prospect hears. You will call, email and follow up with CHROs, HR Directors and HR Heads across India, convince them the event is worth two hours of their calendar, and convert that interest into confirmed attendance. This is a phone-first, high-volume role with a clear, measurable outcome: filled rooms.
The work is repetitive on some days and demanding on most. In exchange, you get real pipeline ownership, real mentorship, and six months of practice that will make you genuinely good at B2B sales.
What you'll own from week one
- Outbound calling and emailing at volume. This is a phone-first role; the majority of your day is spent on live conversations.
- Pitching HR Katalyst and Round Table to senior decision-makers across India.
- Qualifying registrations and converting expressed interest into confirmed attendance.
- Following up relentlessly across call, email and LinkedIn until you get a yes or a clear no.
- Maintaining CRM hygiene in HubSpot — every call, email and outcome logged accurately, same day.
- Sourcing and building prospect lists using LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Reporting on your numbers in daily and weekly team reviews.
What success looks like
- Month 1: Confident on the phone with the event pitch; hitting daily activity targets; HubSpot logging is clean and consistent.
- Month 3: Owning a prospect segment end to end; consistently converting conversations into registrations; contributing ideas on messaging and targeting.
- Month 6: A measurable share of the room at a live event is attributable to your outreach.
- Nice to have (not required)
- Prior exposure to outbound calling, telesales, campus sales or event promotion.
- Hands-on experience with any CRM, or with LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Familiarity with the HR technology or B2B SaaS space.
