Job Description

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the product lifecycle management and commercial success of an assigned portfolio of vacuum measurement products. This role develops and executes product strategies that support revenue growth, healthy margins, customer satisfaction, and long-term profitability.

The Senior Product Manager works closely with R&D, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and external partners to manage the product portfolio, develop pricing strategies, coordinate product improvements, and execute successful go-to-market initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full product lifecycle of the assigned vacuum measurement product portfolio, from product development and launch through ongoing management and end-of-life.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with customer needs, market trends, competitive activity, and company objectives.
  • Develop and own pricing strategies for the assigned portfolio to support healthy margins and long-term profitability.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, customer needs, and industry developments to identify opportunities for product growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and external partners to drive product success.
  • Lead and support negotiations with strategic customers in partnership with the Sales organization.
  • Coordinate engineering changes, product updates, and product improvements with R&D and Manufacturing.
  • Monitor product performance, profitability, sales activity, and key performance indicators, making recommendations as needed.
  • Partner with Operations to support delivery commitments and address quality or service escalations for strategic accounts.
  • Facilitate regular product meetings and maintain clear communication, accountability, and alignment among stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute Go-To-Market strategies, including product launches, market introductions, sales training, customer events, and promotional activities.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that effectively communicates product value to customers and supports the overall marketing strategy.
  • Provide product knowledge, training, and support to Sales and other customer-facing teams.
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal teams, customers, and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Product Management, or a related field required.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in product management, product marketing, brand management, or a related commercial/technical role including experience in vacuum technology, vacuum measurement, instrumentation, semiconductor equipment, or another industrial/technical product environment is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing products or product portfolios throughout the product lifecycle including developing and implementing pricing strategies, analyzing profitability, and managing product margins and supporting Go-To-Market strategies, product launches, sales training, and market introductions.
  • Strong understanding of market research, competitive analysis, customer needs, and product positioning.
  • Demonstrated experience developing product roadmaps and managing multiple products or product lines.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with R&D, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use market and business data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical and commercial information to different audiences.
  • Strong customer/client orientation and ability to build productive, collaborative relationships with strategic or key accounts.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, sales activities, training, trade shows, and other business events.

Additional Information

For Longmont, CO the expected annual salary range for this position is $111,000–$131,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit-sharing bonus with a target of 10% as well as 401K match up to 8% (vesting schedule).
