The Property Group Limited (TPG) is a locally owned property and resource management planning consultancy, bringing Kiwis together to build Aotearoa New Zealand for over two decades. We are looking for a Senior Property Consultant to join our vibrant Auckland office.

Day-to-day, our Senior Property Consultants keep busy and engaged with:

  • Help shape the Auckland region’s strategic direction, bringing your market insight, commercial thinking and client perspective to regional planning and growth.
  • Apply your property qualification or relevant property or project experience to provide practical, commercially astute advice that helps clients navigate complex property challenges.
  • Take ownership of key client relationships, building trusted partnerships and identifying opportunities to broaden the value TPG delivers.
  • Lead and deliver high-quality property advisory work across acquisition, disposal, survey and legalisation, and broader strategic property matters.
  • Step into people leadership by mentoring, guiding and supporting colleagues to grow their capability, confidence and commercial judgement.
  • Create and convert business development opportunities through your networks, technical credibility and understanding of client priorities.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of TPG’s Auckland market presence, helping to build our profile across public and private sector clients.
  • Work alongside a collaborative national team while developing your own leadership style, professional profile and long-term career pathway.

You will stand out to us if you have the following:

You will come with a strong foundation in property, ideally gained over several years in a consultancy, government or related environment. You will have a strong understanding of the property industry. You have sound technical knowledge of property matters, including work with Central and Local Government, and relevant legislation such as the Public Works Act (PWA) 1981.

You will be confident in building strong relationships with new and existing clients and have the knack to identify and find opportunities to provide our services to clients. You are committed to delivering a superior client experience, acting as a problem-solver and thinking creatively to find solutions. A background in a consultancy environment, alongside a property or law degree would be advantageous but not essential.

You will be an excellent communicator.  Most importantly you will be focused on quality and always take pride in your work.  As a senior, you will take initiative in supporting other colleagues by providing assistance and peer review.

With a variety of projects constantly on the go, you’ll be a team player and happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.  You are accountable and take responsibility for your contribution within multi-team project delivery. Building strong relationships and working collaboratively will be second nature to you.
