About this role

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Technical Trainer – Warehouse Automation & Robotics to design,
develop, and deliver technical training programs for warehouse automation solutions, robotic systems,
and associated software platforms.

The role will be responsible for building technical capability across operations, implementation,
service, maintenance, and customer teams. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on
knowledge of warehouse automation, robotics, material handling systems, warehouse execution
systems (WES/WMS), and industrial automation, along with the ability to simplify complex technical
concepts for different audiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Training

 Design and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on technical training programs.
 Train teams on warehouse automation and robotic systems
 Conduct training for operators, technicians, engineers, implementation teams, customer
teams, and service personnel.
 Develop practical simulations, demonstrations, lab exercises, and troubleshooting scenarios.

2. Training Content Development

 Create technical training curriculum, manuals, SOPs, quick-reference guides, videos,
assessments, and certification programs.
 Convert engineering and product documentation into easy-to-understand training material.
 Develop role-based learning paths for:
i) Warehouse operators
ii) Technical/service engineers
iii) System integrators
iv) Implementation teams
v) Supervisors and managers
vi) Customer support teams
vii) Maintain and continuously update training content based on product releases and
operational changes.

3. Robotics & Automation Enablement

 Develop deep technical understanding of the company’s automation and robotics portfolio.
 Demonstrate system architecture, operating principles, workflows, controls, and safety
procedures.
 Train teams on robot commissioning, configuration, operation, preventive maintenance, and
basic troubleshooting.
 Explain integration between robots, conveyors, scanners, WMS/WES/WCS, APIs, and other
warehouse systems.
 Support new product introductions by developing training and certification programs.

4. Troubleshooting & Technical Support Training

 Develop troubleshooting frameworks and diagnostic guides for field teams.
 Create real-world failure scenarios and hands-on troubleshooting exercises.
 Train teams to diagnose issues related to:
a) Robot communication
b) Sensors and scanners
c) control systems
d) Network connectivity
e) WES/WCS workflows
f) System integration
g) Mechanical/electrical failures
h) Software and configuration issues
i) Work closely with Engineering, Product, Service, and Operations teams to incorporate field
learnings into training.

5. Training Governance & Certification

 Establish technical competency frameworks and certification standards.
 Conduct assessments, practical evaluations, and certification tests.
 Track training completion, competency levels, and certification status.
 Measure training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, operational KPIs, and post-
training performance.
 Identify skill gaps and recommend targeted learning interventions.

6. Customer & Partner Training

 Conduct technical training for customers, system integrators, channel partners, and third-
party service teams.
 Support customer onboarding and go-live readiness through structured training programs.
 Deliver train-the-trainer programs to enable customers and partners to independently train
their teams.
 Travel to customer sites, warehouses, demonstration centers, and implementation locations
when required.

Required Technical Skills

 Strong understanding of warehouse automation and intralogistics.
 Hands-on experience with robotics and automated material handling systems.
 Knowledge of WMS, WES, WCS, PLC, sensors, scanners, and industrial networks.
 Understanding of warehouse processes such as:
a) Receiving
b) Putaway
c) Picking
d) Sortation
e) Packing
f) Dispatch
g) Replenishment
h) Returns
 Knowledge of system integration, APIs, data flows, and automation interfaces.
 Ability to understand technical architecture diagrams and process flows.
 Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
 Experience with LMS/e-learning platforms and digital training tools.
 Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, documentation tools, and technical content creation.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, Electrical,
Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
 9–15+ years of experience in warehouse automation, robotics, industrial automation,
intralogistics, or technical training.
 Experience working with automation solution providers, system integrators, 3PLs, e-
commerce, retail, manufacturing, or logistics companies.
 Experience in developing technical certification programs is highly desirable.
 Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or operational excellence would be an advantage.
