A YouTube Scriptwriter is a high-agency storyteller who:

• Crafts scripts that hook viewers and drive engagement.

• Turns trends, research, and insights into full-length, actionable video scripts.

• Works closely with Growth and Scriptwriting teams to ensure content resonates and converts.

This is a hands-on role: you write, optimize, and iterate scripts that the team can directly produce and publish.

What You Will Do

Scriptwriting & Storytelling

• Write engaging, audience-focused scripts for YouTube videos.

• Craft hooks, narrative flow, explanations, and calls-to-action that keep viewers watching.

• Translate research, trends, and insights into clear, structured content.

Trend & Educational Content

• Cover trending topics, AI tools, tutorials, model comparisons, and other educational content.

• Ensure content is accurate, compelling, and aligned with what performs on the platform.

• Adapt tone and style for different formats: short-form hooks, long-form explainers, or comparison videos.

Collaboration & Iteration

• Work with Growth Researchers to understand which trends and ideas are high-priority.

• Collaborate with Video Editors and Creative Directors to ensure scripts match production needs.

• Take feedback from data and audience performance to continuously improve content.

Optimization & Performance

• Suggest formats, hooks, or structures that are likely to maximize watch time, CTR, and engagement.

• Keep up with YouTube trends, algorithm changes, and audience behavior to improve scripts.

• Help build a library of reusable templates, formulas, and structures for consistent output.

Who We’re Looking For

We want creative, high-agency writers, not just people with a portfolio.

You should have:

• Strong writing skills with a knack for hooks, storytelling, and clear explanations.

• Ability to work from research and turn insights into engaging scripts.

• Comfort iterating based on feedback and data.

• Clear written and spoken English.

• Bias toward action: scripts are only valuable if they get produced and perform.

Backgrounds that often do well:

• Journalists or content writers with social media experience

• SMM or digital marketers who write for engagement

• Researchers or analysts who can turn insights into compelling narratives

• Founders, operators, or early startup writers who have worn multiple hats
