Job Description

- Platform Engineering team. S/W and Services team
- SW and services to teams at VIPER
- Geronimo and Ready
- Applications that are written in Go
- Allow developers to deploy applications to infrastructures all over the country
- Rest API’s allow customers to make HTTP request in remote data center
- UI is written in JavaScript, Vue.JS
- Kubernetes are the systems they provision. Runs on Linux
- Primarily this person will be a developer
- Working on feature/functionality related to API’s and remote clusters
- Day to Day/Team make up
- Daily stand up. About 15 minutes
- Developers spend 10-15% of time in meetings, rest of time developing
- Team involved in road map and long term discussions
- Have multiple people working on same thing
- Ready has 2 developer
- Geronimo has 3
- Other systems 2 developers
- One Front end guy
- Will be working closely with other people

- Don’t do waterfall, do Agile. Heavy emphasis on getting stuff done
- Skills
- Of the seven developers on team, only one had prior Go experience. Go would be HUGE plus
- Developers had decent amount of Java, Python, Ruby, and/or JavaScript
- Most developers on team had proven experience with multiple languages
- Rest API’s
- Kubernetes- plus
- Preference for familiarity with Web, client server applications
- Interview process/Timeline
- 30 minute Screen
- 2 hour in person w/in week of phone screen
