About this role

Position Summary

The Data Business Partner (DBP) acts as a strategic bridge between business teams and data/AI capabilities, helping identify, prioritize, and deliver AI, analytics, and automation solutions that create measurable business impact. This role works closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional technology teams to transform business challenges into scalable, data-driven solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI, analytics, and automation opportunities.
  • Translate business needs into structured use cases, workflows, and actionable solution requirements.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of data and AI initiatives from ideation through adoption.
  • Manage and prioritize delivery backlog in collaboration with product and technical teams.
  • Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
  • Define and track business KPIs to measure solution impact and adoption.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, Governance, and IT teams to ensure solution feasibility and data readiness.
  • Document business workflows, user journeys, and process improvements to support scalable transformation.
  • Support continuous improvement through stakeholder feedback and usage insights.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Data Business Partner / Analytics Translator
    • Product Owner (Data/AI)
    • Digital Strategy or Consulting
    • AI, Analytics, or Automation Delivery
  • Strong understanding of business processes, data analytics, AI/ML, and automation concepts.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Experience defining business requirements, user stories, and KPIs.
  • Familiarity with SQL, BI tools (e.g., Power BI), and data platforms is preferred.


Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, supply chain, HR, finance, or customer domains.
  • Familiarity with AI/GenAI use cases and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with backlog management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
